SME is a company which specializes in MGPS — short for Metal Gear Pumping System. A number of these MGPS systems serve to keep people safe in a variety of practical aspects. Accumulation Of Magnetic Navigation Points (MGPS) This is such a great system because it really gives us an idea of where everything goes. Now let us understand what is MGPS and why it is so essential!
With MGPS technology the key is in how they use one of the most important forces on earth, an integral part of our planet: the magnetic field that circulates through it. This magnetic map that envelops our planet, is actually a giant invisible field. Each point on the face of the earth has a unique magnetic field and hence no two places can be similar to each other. These magnetic fields are of a lot interest to scientists and they study them in detail. They measure the size, direction and depth of these fields – they then produce maps that shows how these vary across the entire planet.
MGPS systems then use these maps to determine their position at any point in time. On the inside of each MGPS system is a small magnet This magnet can sense the direction of the earth's magnetic field, similar to that of a compass. The system knows where it is by comparing the direction of the magnetic field to a map that it has. Think of it like a map that tells you exactly where you are standing!
The concept of using magnetic fields to search for items is ages old. Endless fascination with this idea has made scientists keep tracking since 1800s, i.e. >200 year now! In the olden days, they even started thinking how magnets could lead us to pathways. But, it was the 20th century when its technology really evolved and advanced that became able to serve us in our daily roles. Originally, this technology were years away from being useful to all with the long research and experimentation that entailed.
The MGPS system can accurately find a location, but it needs two important things—the place it is right now and the place it will go next. It does this via the magnet inside, feeling for and reading up on the earth magnetic field. This is for the system to know where it currently resides. But now, you cannot help but wonder — how does this thing know where it is going?
The MGPS system is smart! This one knows where it is going and navigates its path by closely watching how it manoeuvres. There's a tiny sensor in it: that can sense how fast it is moving and what direction. It is a sensor that moves around as if it were playing detective on movement. The MGPS system combines this information with the earth's magnetic field map, and it can know for sure where going next.
